Finally, this morning, our first free day – and I can sleep in. The traffic noises didn’t rouse me until a lazy 9:15 (okay, maybe not as late as I would have liked, but…) Roommates and I went down to the farmer’s market in Piazza S. Cosimato (right around the corner from our apartment) to stock up on necessary ingredients for dinner while I investigated the surrounding shops. Found a bancomat (ATM), a legit supermarket, a bunch of restaurants, three bakeries and two creameries. Fortunately, this thorough exploration yielded gnocchi senza glutine, that’s right, gluten-free gnocchi! So excited to try them tomorrow!
Spent the rest of the day reading for Monday, had my orientation for the library assistant position, took my faulty SIM back to the WIND store AGAIN and AGAIN they told me to wait until tomorrow, the activation is still messed up (uh huh. this is their final strike, it doesn’t work by tomorrow and I’m requesting a new SIM — fortunately, the chiave itself works fine.) I love our three-day weekends, and I can’t wait to experience Easter here… hopefully it won’t be too insane!
Pictured above are a few buildings from our neighborhood, Trastevere =) More on Flickr!
